Dunst Blows Spidey 3 Villains Actress spills the beans. by Stax September 26, 2005 - While doing press for her forthcoming release Elizabethtown, actress Kirsten Dunst may have finally let the proverbial cat out of the bag about the oft-speculated identities of the villains in Spider-Man 3.
Dunst is quoted at Zap2It as saying, "We have really great people though as the villains in this film, Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace -- Venom and Sandman." She added, "Maybe I wasn't supposed to say that."
But when a journalist expressed disbelief that Sandman lookalike Church would be playing Venom, Dunst corrected her gaffe. "It's the other way around. You're right."
So just to be clear: according to Dunst, Thomas Haden Church is Sandman and Topher Grace is Venom.
Although she hasn't read the script yet for Spider-Man 3 , which begins filming in January, Dunst said, "I know the general story. ... There's a lot that they're trying to fit into this one."
Spider-Man 3 is slated for a May 4, 2007 release.

As most of you already know, Guide centers around Earthling Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman), who is having a rough time... His house is about to be bulldozed, he discovers that his best friend is an alien and to top things off, Planet Earth is scheduled to be demolished to make way for a hyperspace freeway. Fortunately, Dent is whisked away by Ford Prefect (Mos Def), an undercover alien researching "The Hitchhiker's Guide" just before the planet is destroyed. Arthur unwittingly sets out on a journey in which he discovers that nothing is as it seems: he learns that a towel is just the most useful thing in the universe, finds the meaning of life, and discovers that everything he needs to know can be found in one book: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Trivia for "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"
The entire movie was shot against blue screen, with everything except the main characters computer generated. This was one of several movies to take that approach (although which was first is debatable), including: Immortel (ad vitam) (2004), Casshern (2004), and Sin City (2005), the latter of which shot on High-Definition digital cameras, like this movie. Because of the film being totally shot against blue screen rather than via orthodox locations and sets, filming was completed in just 26 days. Normally with sets and locations, filming could have taken the best part of a year to finish.
Originally, the title was simply "The World of Tomorrow", but was changed so as not to be confused with another 2004 big-budget film, The Day After Tomorrow (2004).
